Dr. Craig Smith has a lifelong commitment to the healthcare of the human condition. He grew up the son of a "country doc" from Montana and has devoted his life to the care of others. Over the years, Dr. Smith has accumulated a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating an active patient dealing with high demands of daily challenges in body, mind, and spirit.
Dr. Smith understands the athlete's world of pain and healing. As an exercise physiologist, Dr. Smith researched for the United States Army on recruits suffering from illness due to altitude sickness and dehydration. He graduated from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and is a Board-Certified Family Physician. Following his residency, he completed a sports medicine fellowship at Ohio State University, serving as a team Physician for the Buckeyes.
The following 18 years were spent at an Orthopedic Sports Medicine Clinic in Sioux Falls, SD. Dr. Smith served as head team physician for South Dakota State University. During this time, he developed an interest in regenerative medicine, studying biologics and musculoskeletal ultrasound at the Mayo Clinic in 2008.
He moved to Boise, ID. in 2014 and practiced out of two separate orthopedic settings. In 2018, Dr. Smith further honed his interest in regenerative and naturopathic work in a naturopathic clinic while studying with the American Academy of anti-aging. He received his peptide and hormone pellet certifications. This further increased his understanding of the power and resiliency of the human spirit.
